Situated in the city centre, the W Amsterdam is a combination of classic architectural heritage and modern design; the building itself occupies a former telephone exchange building and a bank. What might be known to some is the luxurious, trendy hotel that is apart of the W Amsterdam, but what lies inside this dynamic building is so much more. Mad Fox and X Bank are the newest shining stars in the W Amsterdam, giving you another two reasons to visit this exquisite location.
A nightclub that is fresh of the boat, and talk of the town in Amsterdam right now is Mad Fox. A place inspired by high end clubs in the big cities like New York and London, Mad Fox serves guests a more international experience; something you do not see everyday in Amsterdam. It is definitely a place to dress to impress, as style and elegance oozes from this newly opened club. Whilst upholding it’s style standards, Mad Fox delivers beats from international DJ’s, a variety of spirits and cocktails and that feeling of elusiveness. Whether you want to dance the night away, or have a few cocktails on the lounge, Mad Fox has something for you.
At the same location but offering something a little different, is X Bank: a hybrid store that presents fashion, art and design from talent all over the Netherlands as well as some features from international artists. The store is a comprehensive collection of unique products from emerging designers and well known brands; it is a meeting place where all elements of creativity come together. It is a store where every little thing in there, whether it is a dress or even a vase, will make you want to stop and have a look. The layout is ever changing, meaning that the looks are always fresh and up to date. As well as providing a platform for designers, and a lively retail experience for the public, X Bank has a ‘little’ place called The Vault. The Vault is 70 squared metres of an adaptable space for an event, party, conference, or whatever your meeting. Amsterdam Fashion TV had the pleasure of chatting to the marketing manager of X Bank, Danielle Welling, about all things X Bank – and you can witness just how aesthetically pleasing this space is!
