The Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2017

On the 24th of September 2017, the first Green Carpet Fashion Awards will be held in the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. During women’s Fashion Week, the event will feature major Italian brands as well as emerging designers whose vision and creativity represent the future of fashion. The awards evening is all based on sustainable values and environmental protection. Each fashion house will work with Eco-Age to create a look following the GCC validation criteria.

In March 2017, a new competition for emerging designers was launched specifically for the Green Carpet Awards Italy. These designers had to create a sustainable look which celebrates the excellence of “Made in Italy” ethics and aesthetics. Out of all the aspiring designers, five finalists have been chosen to present their outfit at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards in September. The winner will receive the title of best emerging designer and will win an exclusive retail offer and the support from the “Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana” to present a collection during the Milan Fashion Week.

Carlo Capasa, Chairman of CNMI, said: “Sustainability is the central pillar of CNMI’s vision of fashion for Italy. In the last few years we have worked on plans with a number of leading fashion brands to make Italy a global leader in this industry. This celebratory event will present that vision to the world in a highly innovative and contemporary fusion of glamour and creativity that’s uniquely Italian.”

Dubai FashionTV is definitively excited to see what the big Fashion houses such as Gucci, Prada, Valentino as well as the five contestants will have to offer to this industry that is constantly changing and evolving.
