The Third Line is proud to announce Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige as the winners of the Marcel Duchamp Art Prize 2017.
The Prix Marcel Duchamp 2017 is a prestigious award organised in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, Paris, France. In keeping with Marcel Duchamp’s legacy, the prize focuses on artist’s innovation and aims to stimulate the use of all new artistic forms and creation.
To mark the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2017, the Centre Pompidou opened a group exhibition on September 28, 2017, dedicated to the four finalists Maja Bajevic, Joana Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige, Charlotte Moth and Vittorio Santoro. The exhibition which showcases new works by all four artists will be on view until January 8, 2018.
Previous winners include Thomas Hirschhorn, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Tatiana Trouvé, Cyprien Gaillard, Latifa Echakhch, Julien Prévieux, and Kader Attia.
