Dice Kayek

Dice Kayek presented their third collection that translates the longing for a bygone elegance into couture. Inspiration comes from a decadent and flamboyant art world of the late ‘7os and early ’80s and plays a homage to a Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg’s Nocturne op. 54. Traditional tailoring and craftsmanship are at the core of this collection, as a way to resist industrialisation with loads of pleats, folds and draping as a couture techniques mastered for the collection. The essence is in smoking jackets inspired by idols such as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michael Basquiat and Roy Lichenstein who used to stand out in a room fool of gloomy diurnal suits, sophisticated embroiled dresses and shoes adorned with crystals.
