·       Lebanese support singer Lea Makhoul shows off stunning vocals

·       The concert, presented by SWYP, included hits ‘Jenny from the Block’, ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ and brand-new single ‘Amor Amor Amor’

18th November 2017: Last night excitement radiated from every corner of the Autism Rocks Arena as concert-goers were treated to the stunning vocals of Lebanese singer Lea Makhoul, before being blown away by the iconic Jennifer Lopez as she gave a high-octane performance of some of her most popular hits.

Red Bull opening act Lea Makhoul took to the stage and captivated fans with her smooth lyrics of her singles ‘All I Know’ and ‘Paradise’, as well as classic songs such as Beyonce’s ‘Halo’. A born performer, Lea’s stellar set was the perfect warm-up for fans eagerly awaiting “Jenny from the Block” to hit the stage.

Jennifer Lopez got the crowd moving immediately with her infectious opener ‘Get Right’. Accompanied by spectacular visuals and pyrotechnics, she urged fans to dance along as she lit up the stage with her high-energy and entourage of dancers. The 90-minute performance followed with a plethora of captivating dance numbers, multiple outfit changes and hit singles including ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ and ‘Let’s Get Loud’. Crowds applauded and cheered as the Latin diva proclaimed, “I Love Dubai!”.

Closing the evening was award-winning DJ, Rodge, from Lebanon continuing the good vibes with pumping beats and party tunes into the late hours.

The mix of regional artists paired with a headline set from icon Jennifer Lopez proved to be one of the greatest shows of the year and offered concert-goers the first view of a new-look Autism Rocks Arena with a custom-built VIP Pavilion, permanent toilets and food concession outlets. Due for completion at the end of the year, more will be revealed at the remaining 2017 shows.
