Marking the occasion of Paris Haute Couture Week, Valérie Messika presents the second wave of her ‘Once Upon A Time’ High Jewelry Collection. Combining my passion for diamonds with my love of fashion, I’ve re-written some of the tales that once enchanted me as a child, exploring their themes with a feel for ‘couture’.

‘I’ve reinterpreted the stories of these ancient tales with an ultra-modern vision, and an avant-garde style inspired by the latest trend in top fashion.’ Valerie Messika

UNDINE SET: One of the new sets showcased was the Undine Set, as part of the Little Mermaid collection.

The Undine Necklace – A tribute to the world of high fashion, this piece is inspired by trends from the world’s most exclusive catwalks. Similar to a waterfall with bathing nymphs,

Valérie Messika produces the opposite of the rigidity of an emerald cut and offers a superb aquatic ballet. Emerald-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds come alive gracefully.

To complement the majestic necklace, Valérie Messika created a pair of earrings, a bracelet and a ring. This deliberately modern jewellery comes alive and gives flexibility and flow which will suit all women.

DIAMOND SPEARS: Another new set showcased was the Diamond Spears Set, as part of the Snow Queen collection.

The Diamond Spears Necklace – Valérie Messika presents a sumptuous choker which will not leave you unmoved. Perfectly symmetrical, this bold line of pear-cut diamonds transcends the image of a stone in movement. Sensual and svelte, the pear-cut diamonds seem to fly away, giving a suspension effect.

The Diamond Spears Earrings – Forever more audacious, this pear that is over 16ct is sublimed in an insanely modern earring version aimed at all heroins.

MARQUISE RING: Another new piece presented was the Marquise Ring. Continuing the one on top of the other technique, Valérie Messika created a ring to wear on two fingers where the diamonds provide a feathering effect. In this perpetual quest to showcase diamonds in all of their forms, Valerie Messika continues to erase the boundary between the work of a feather worker and a jeweller. She pays homage to her father’s diamond expertise, as well as to the jewellery know-how.
