The Generation Girl is back with a bite! The girls have been on a hiatus since Summer 2018 but the long siesta is now over and they have awoken with a new website and new merchandise to match.
Not heard of them? Read on…
The charitable fashion agency launched in October 2017 when creative fashion students Hannah Castleton and Darby Stewart joined forces together to create the girl power brain child. The Generation Girl stands for female empowerment and well-being, the concept is part agency/part sustainable fashion brand.
The agency team up and collaborate with local female charities and infuse fashion with charity work. Last year, saw the successful up- cycling and styling workshops, as well as clothes drives. The idea behind this, as well as the design concepts behind the The Gen Girl clothing is all to help contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry and circular economy.
The full range of GENGIRL clothing has grown with the relaunch. Before saw logo t-shirts, sweatshirts and tote bags which are available to buy online through the main hub’s website or through the Generation Girl social media channels. The new website has packed a load more of fun, wearable styles from clothing to accessories, there is a new feature called GENGIRL Renewal which reflects the 2 founders love of charity shopping and vintage. The original concept of 20% of each sale goes straight back into helping the local community is still present but has been made more adaptable to help the consumer really understand where and how their money is helping.
There has been a bit of a spice up recently at Generation Girl HQ, Creative Director Darby Stewart continues to run the home fort in Portsmouth, England where the brand was born. The creative whizz kid has single handily re designed the new collection launching THURSDAY 14TH FEB 2019 (THEGENERATIONGIRL.COM)
There has been a few teasers on the GG Instagram (Generation Girl Insta) meaning the new collection will drop on V DAY- what better pressie for your girl, bezzie, all-time favorite Generation Girl?
On the flip side of things Co-Founder and Managing Director Hannah Castleton has made the move to the UAE and is pushing all things GG to a new audience of empowerment seeking, independent women. Hoping to blend the areas of fashion and community both in the UK and the Middle East.
This is a new chapter for the charitable fashion organisation and they are taking everything 2019 throws at them.
